Stephen joined the firm in 2021 as a tax shareholder, selected to lead the firm’s growing State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. He focuses on client needs specific to state and local tax issues, comprising state corporate income franchise tax, sales and use tax, property tax and incentives/credits. He brings extensive experience in all aspects of state income taxation, including compliance, technical support and review, SEC financial reporting requirements for income tax disclosures and analysis of client filings for refund opportunities.

Kevin Michael Johnson is a seasoned security executive with a distinguished career spanning law enforcement, federal service, and global corporate security leadership. With more than three decades of experience protecting people, assets, and critical infrastructure, he has built a reputation for strategic vision, operational excellence, and the development of high-performing security programs across complex multinational environments.

Jonathan grew up in a military family, living in seven states and multiple countries.  He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.  Jonathan joined Arthur Andersen in 1997 and became a CPA.  Subsequently, he earned his MBA in Finance at Vanderbilt University.

Prasad Sharma’s practice focuses on state and federal legislative and regulatory advocacy work and an array of regulatory compliance issues. From the Firm’s D.C. office, Sharma leads legislative support initiatives and provides a legal liaison function to Firm clients seeking transportation and logistics industry national and state association outreach. He spearheads outreach efforts within the Firm’s network of industry leaders to align efforts to achieve legislative outcomes that protect the future of the transportation industry.

Tim Mikesic is Chief Financial Officer at Ward Transport & Logistics, where he leads financial strategy, planning, and performance for a 94 year old family owned regional LTL carrier operating across the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. With over 24 years of experience in the transportation sector, Tim focuses on navigating the cyclical nature of the freight market working closely with sales and operations leadership to align financial decisions with real-time market conditions, helping the organization remain resilient amid shifting demand and capacity fluctuations.

Patrick is an experienced chief executive with a demonstrated history of success working in the transportation, logistics & high-tech industries. As a leader, Patrick puts a focus on building organizations by creating a clear vision and mission for his team. This is only possible by fostering a strong company culture where team members want to grow and get better every day, work hard, where humility and integrity are a must, safety is everything, and people want to have fun.

Mark Tucker is a managing director in Andersen’s Tax Transformation and Innovation practice. With more than 15 years of experience in global tax operations and technology, including three years in Hong Kong, Mark focuses on tax assessments, operational improvements, and end-to-end transformations across all areas of taxation. His expertise includes tax transformation, finance optimization, and technology-driven solutions for corporate tax functions.

Robert focuses his practice in the areas of white-collar criminal defense, sensitive corporate investigations, regulatory compliance, and business litigation. A former federal and state prosecutor, Robert leverages his extensive government experience and relationships to the benefit of his clients.

Cornell Heldenbrand serves as Director of Security, at J. B. Hunt Transport Inc.. Cornell has worked for J. B. Hunt for the last 18 years. He has been in the Director of Security position for the last two years, previously managing the Investigations and Asset Protection departments. Also, Cornell spent 10 years as our IT Security Engineer.

Will Payson has spent 30 years applying advanced analytics to transportation networks. His work has generated over $1 billion in annual operating profit improvement through improved pricing, network design, and data-driven decision making.

He is the founder and CEO of Truckmentum, a platform bringing Moneyball-style analytics to truckload carriers—helping them make smarter freight decisions and price RFPs with greater precision. His career goal is to be the “Bill James" of Moneyball for Trucking.
