Kevin Johnson

Kevin Michael Johnson is a seasoned security executive with a distinguished career spanning law enforcement, federal service, and global corporate security leadership. With more than three decades of experience protecting people, assets, and critical infrastructure, he has built a reputation for strategic vision, operational excellence, and the development of high-performing security programs across complex multinational environments.

Kevin currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Security Services for NFI Industries, where he oversees enterprise-wide security operations across more than 275 locations in the United States and Canada. His portfolio includes workplace violence prevention, active aggressor preparedness, supply chain incident mitigation, physical security innovation, contract security management, subrosa investigations, and Executive Protection. He leads programs that safeguard a workforce of 18,000 employees and ensures the organization’s duty-of-care responsibilities are met with the highest standards of integrity.

Before joining NFI, Kevin spent 16 years with Panalpina Management Ltd. in Basel, Switzerland, ultimately serving as Global Head of Corporate Security and Senior Vice President. In this role, he directed global security strategy for a network of 500 offi ces in 80 countries. He led a geographically dispersed team of Regional and Area Security Managers, oversaw supply chain and human risk management, shaped corporate policy, supported global sales and operations, and coordinated legal decisions tied to risk mitigation. His leadership strengthened Panalpina’s global compliance posture, intelligence capabilities, and resilience programs.

Kevin began his corporate security career with Consolidated Freightways, where he served as Director of Corporate Security for North America. He led field securityoperations, negotiated security contracts, developed physical security programs, and implemented a comprehensive pre-employment screening program across all CF companies.

His foundation in security and investigations was built during 10 years with the Houston Police Department, where he served in the Special Investigations Bureau, Narcotics Division. His work included covert operations, surveillance, drafting and executing warrants and community outreach on drug awareness.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Criminal Justice from Bradley University. His professional affi liations include the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA), Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) and Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC). Kevin is a past Board member of the Security Council of the American Trucking Associations (ATA).
