Luis Guzman joined PGT Trucking in 2004, holding several positions in Finance during his tenure. Guzman is a graduate of Robert Morris University, earning his MBA in 2009. A native of Ecuador, Guzman moved to the United States in 2000 and became a U.S. citizen in 2016. Guzman leads PGT’s financial management, overseeing our Accounting, Billing, Collections and Payroll+ Departments and closely working with our staff in Colombia. Guzman also helps maintain our partnerships with select vendors and Integrated Fleet Owners, contributing to the expansion of PGT.

Douglas Wood is a managing director co-leading Andersen’s practice in the Carolinas and broader Southeast. Throughout his career, Doug has leveraged his technical focus on the growing complexity of global taxes, becoming a trusted business advisor to his clients. From technology start-ups to owner/operators to SEC registrants, Doug’s diverse client base illustrates how firms big and small, across nearly all industries, are impacted by cross-border taxes.

Somer is an audit director in the Tulsa office of Forvis Mazars with more than 17 years of professional accounting experience, including a two-year firm secondment in Perth, Australia.

During her career, she has served a variety of clients in the transportation & distribution, manufacturing, energy, and services industries. In addition to performing audit engagements, Somer has been actively involved in strategic objectives and projects, including women’s initiatives, mentoring circles, audit software user testing, and practice reviews.

Nicholas Somos is a Partner, Mergers & Acquisitions at Desmos, a global corporate finance advisory firm. He advises clients across U.S., Canadian, and global mandates, including buy-side and sell-side M&A, strategic alternatives, capital raising, and broader corporate finance advisory.

Mr. Truono is Executive Vice President & Chief Risk Officer at NFI Industries, where he leads the Enterprise Risk Management function. Mr. Truono and the ERM team support NFI’s strategic risk management programs which support their Transportation, Distribution & Warehousing, Port Services, Brokerage, Intermodal, Global logistics, Real Estate Management and Corporate operations.

Heidi Hornung-Scherr serves as President of the Scudder Law Firm representing publicly traded and privately held companies in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, financings, securities, and corporate law, with a particular focus on acquisitions and securities offerings and compliance.
