Vice President, State & Tax Policy, American Trucking Associations
David Bauer is vice president of state and tax policy with the American Trucking Associations, the nation’s leading organization representing the interests of the trucking industry.
In this role, David works with ATA’s 50-state Federation on all manner of state legislative and tax-related issues.
David joined ATA in 2020 from the Hyundai Motor Company where he was senior manager of government affairs and he previously worked for the Alliance for Automotive Innovation as an attorney and manager of state relations. David has experience working in over 40 statehouses around the country, and has previously worked with a state legislative office and with a governor.
David holds a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, as well as degrees from The George Washington University and Washington College.
