Patrick is an experienced chief executive with a demonstrated history of success working in the transportation, logistics & high-tech industries. As a leader, Patrick puts a focus on building organizations by creating a clear vision and mission for his team. This is only possible by fostering a strong company culture where team members want to grow and get better every day, work hard, where humility and integrity are a must, safety is everything, and people want to have fun. During his tenure at Modern, he and his team have grown revenues by 300%, while increasing margin percentage, and has strategically lead the company through acquisitions, industry downturns, and measured, organic growth. Prior to joining Modern 17 years ago, he had a career in high-tech (both fiber optics and software). He held positions in product engineering as a Sr. Project Manager delivering advanced fiber optic systems to customers such as AT&T, Sprint & Verizon. In his software career he worked closely with Department of Defense using optimization algorithms to solve complex, global logistics networks, particularly related to the Gulf War in Iraq. During the last 20 years he has and continues to serve on many boards and has focused on improving the performance of these entities.
